22 May 2019 – The OWI Oel-Waerme-Institut will be represented with a stand at the “Thermprocess” trade fair, which will take place in Düsseldorf from 25 to 29 June 2019. OWI will present itself within the framework of a special show of the FOGI Forschungsgemeinschaft Industrieofenbau e.V. (Research Association for Industrial Furnace Construction) in Hall 10, Stand C 04 with current research projects. These include, for example, a project on the “Influence of thermal load changes on the service life of highly stressed furnace components made of metallic high-temperature materials”. Experts from OWI will also be available at the stand to provide information about services relating to innovations in thermal process technology.

Thermal process plants must achieve high yields with good material and energy efficiency under sustainable conditions and thereby also meet ecological and economic targets. OWI supports plant operators and furnace manufacturers in the ongoing optimisation and further development of thermo process plants. Furthermore, OWI develops marketable and competitive solutions in the fields of combustion technology, energy management, testing, materials and technical gases. As a rule, the focus is on high operational reliability with minimum energy consumption in order to achieve an economically optimal solution. OWI supports the design and optimisation of industrial combustion processes by means of energy balances, flow simulations and experimental tests on model burners.
